16 hour days..

Lance took Andy and I out to the desert when the job was all done to show us where he'd been for 3 days
When we were out there we saw these dust devils popping up all over. Lance said that was nothing compared to what it had been the days they were working on the lines...no wonder the tub was so dirty after his showers!
Most poles burned down to nothing, but there were some fragments left here and there; mostly just the tops of the poles or the arms
The fire that started at the INL and swept through the desert on July 14th scorched 55 power poles. Lance and the guys were put on 16 hour shifts and were able to get all 55 poles replaced in just a few days, with the help of some other crews brought in from a couple other areas. We didn't get to see much of him over those days, and Andy and I really felt his absense, but luckily emergencies like this usually only come a couple times a year! Thanks for working so hard for us, Lancer - we love you!
